DALBIT Privacy
Privacy Policy
DALBIT processes information only to the extent necessary and explains the data flow of each app transparently. REP BEAST workout records and profile information are generally stored on the user's device.
1. Controller and scope
DALBIT ("DALBIT," "we," "our," or "us") protects personal information under applicable privacy laws. This policy applies to the following mobile applications. Features and third-party SDKs may differ by app.
- REP BEAST: a bodyweight AMRAP workout and tracking app
- TalkRank: an app that analyzes chat-export files selected by the user
REP BEAST does not require an account or use a developer-operated backend. Your nickname, entered body weight, profile photo, and complete workout history remain on your device. Google AdMob and Firebase Analytics may process the limited device, advertising, and usage information described below.
2. Information processed by REP BEAST
2.1 Information stored only on your device
| Information | Purpose | Location and retention |
|---|---|---|
| Nickname, entered body weight, and a profile photo you select | Profile display and estimated calorie calculation | Your device / until you delete or reset the data, or uninstall the app |
| Workout date, duration, round and movement progress, result, and estimated calories | Workout operation, history, charts, analysis, and achievements | Your device / until you delete individual or all records |
| Goals, app settings, achievements, and Premium entitlement state | Personalization and access to purchased features | Your device / until reset or app removal |
This information is not uploaded to a server operated by DALBIT. Estimated calories use your entered weight, workout duration, and a fixed MET intensity assumption. They are estimates, not medical measurements or advice.
2.2 Firebase Analytics
We use Firebase Analytics to understand app quality and feature usage. Google may process the following information:
- App-instance identifier, app version, OS and device information, language, and approximate country
- Onboarding completion or skip, screen and feature interactions, and error outcomes
- Challenge target, planned or completed duration, completed rounds, workout result type, and achievements
- Premium status, purchase or restore outcomes, and use of advertising or privacy-choice features
- Whether sharing, backup, CSV export, or restore was used, including the number of restored records
DALBIT's custom analytics events do not include your nickname, entered body weight, profile photo, exported or backup file contents, or your complete workout-history database. We use analytics to improve features, diagnose errors, and produce usage statistics.
2.3 AdMob advertising
The free version uses Google AdMob banner and rewarded ads. Google may process advertising or device identifiers, approximate location derived from an IP address, ad interactions, app and device information, and diagnostics to deliver and measure ads, limit frequency, and prevent abuse.
Where required by law, Google's consent form is shown before ads are requested. You can reopen available advertising privacy options under Settings → Privacy choices and use your device's advertising or tracking settings.
2.4 Photos, backup, CSV, and sharing
- We access only the profile photo you choose through the system picker.
- Backup, CSV export, and sharing send data to a selected app or location only when you initiate the action.
- After sharing, the selected third-party app or service processes the information under its own privacy policy.
2.5 In-app purchases
Apple App Store or Google Play processes payments and purchase restoration. REP BEAST may receive a product identifier and purchase or restoration status needed to unlock features. We do not collect or store card numbers or payment-method details.
3. Special terms for TalkRank
TalkRank normally analyzes a KakaoTalk or LINE chat-export (.txt) file selected by the user on the device. It does not upload or store the file on a DALBIT server. TalkRank does not include the AdMob advertising SDK.
If you explicitly use the AI summary feature, chat content needed for the request may be transmitted over an encrypted connection to the Google Cloud Gemini API. The app provides notice before transmission. Google's applicable terms and privacy policy govern data submitted to that feature.
4. Service providers and international processing
The providers below may process information while delivering app features. Information is encrypted in transit and may be processed outside the Republic of Korea in countries where each provider operates data centers.
| Provider and service | Purpose and information | Timing and retention |
|---|---|---|
| Google LLC Firebase Analytics |
Usage analysis and quality improvement / app instance, device and app information, usage events, and workout-summary events | Encrypted transmission during app use / according to Google's policy and Firebase settings |
| Google LLC Google AdMob |
Ad delivery, measurement, and fraud prevention / advertising and device identifiers, approximate location, interactions, and diagnostics | Encrypted transmission when ads are requested or displayed / according to Google's policy |
| Apple Inc. / Google LLC App Store and Google Play |
Payment, purchase status, and restoration | Processed by the platform during purchase or restoration / platform policy and legally required retention |
| Google LLC Gemini API (optional TalkRank feature) |
User-requested AI summary / chat content included in the request | Encrypted transmission when the feature is used / applicable Google service policy |
See Google's Privacy Policy, Firebase Privacy and Security, and Apple's Privacy Policy.
5. Retention and deletion
- On-device information remains until you delete or reset it, or uninstall the app.
- You manage shared or exported files in the destination app or storage location you selected.
- Third-party SDK information is retained, then deleted or de-identified, under each provider's policy and settings.
- Information may be retained when applicable law requires a specific period.
If DALBIT directly destroys electronic information, we use methods that make recovery impracticable. Uninstalling the app may not immediately delete information already lawfully processed by a third-party provider.
6. Your rights and choices
- Delete an individual workout from the REP BEAST history.
- Delete all workout history in Settings or uninstall the app to remove local data.
- Reopen available advertising consent options through Privacy choices in Settings.
- Reset or delete the advertising identifier and change permitted tracking settings in your device settings.
- Contact us by email to request access, correction, deletion, or restriction where applicable.
REP BEAST does not create user accounts, so it has no separate account- deletion process. Apple and Google control store purchase records and may retain them for transaction and legal purposes.
7. App permissions and security
- Photo library: used only to import a profile photo you select.
- File selection and sharing: used for backup restoration and user-requested export or sharing.
- Network: used for advertising, analytics, purchase verification, and other external services.
DALBIT applies reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information, including data minimization, access restrictions, and encrypted network connections. Security of files you export also depends on the destination and third-party service settings you select.
8. Children's information
REP BEAST is not designed specifically for children under 14. If DALBIT learns that a child's personal information was processed without required authorization, we will take steps required by applicable law. Minors should exercise under guardian supervision and within their abilities.

10. Changes to this policy
We may revise this policy when applicable law, app functionality, or service providers change. Material changes will be announced through the app or website before they take effect, and the latest effective date will appear at the top of this document.
